Beatles-Nova Geração

Sem nenhum compromisso, filhos de ex-Beatles podem se dar bem em novo grupo

 Quando li a notícia de que alguns filhos de integrantes dos Beatles estavam pensando em montar uma banda dei um pulo de tanta alegria.

Desde que a intenção seja tocar junto de modo despretensioso, fazer discos e turnês sem almejar um estrelato instantâneo e histérico, não vejo problema em aproveitar os laços que os unem e a bagagem genética de cada um para tentar fazer um som bacana.
 Como acredito que James McCartney, Sean Lennon e Dhani Harrison, por serem filhos de quem são, também não estejam com problemas financeiros o mesmo vale para Zak Starkey(filho de Ringo), que tem uma carreira consolidada como o atual baterista do que sobrou do The Who, além de já ter passado pelo Oasis -, que mal há de formar uma banda e sair tocando e gravando por aí
Notícias dizem até que se Zak não vai topar, outro filho de Ringo Starr, Jason, que também é baterista, vai assumir o seu lugar.
 Logo de cara, é preciso lembrar que não tem ingenuos  envolvidos nesta história. Sean Lennon já tem uma carreira até que razoavelmente conhecida, tendo gravado três discos solos bem interessantes — Into the Sun (1998), Half Horse, Half Musician (1999) e Friendly Fire (2006) — e trabalhou ativamente com o grupo Cibo Matto e o guitarrista do Strokes, Albert Hammond Jr., além de ter composto e gravado um monte de trilhas de filmes e até mesmo produzido um disco do Soulfly, do Max Cavalera, Primitive (2000).Da uma olhada!

 Trechos de "Can''t Buy Me Love", "Let it Be" ou "Love Me Do", de uma duração de cerca de 30 segundos, custam 1,29 dólar cada um, segundo um comunicado publicado  no site oficial do famoso quarteto de Liverpool.

 A loja iTunes da Apple começou a oferecer títulos dos Beatles em novembro de 2010 após negociações entre a Apple Corps, o selo criado pelos Beatles em 1968 e a EMI, seu selo discográfico

Yoko na Vida de Lennon

 Muitos acreditam que Yoko Ono foi a grande responsável pra separação dos Beatles; porém, a verdade é que ela teve uma grande importância na vida de John Lennon.
 Além de esposa, foi também produtora de todos os discos de sua carreira solo.
 Os dois se conheceram em 1966 durante uma exposição de Yoko, desde então ela tornou-se presença constante na vida de John, que na época era casado com Cynthia Powell.
Ele bem que tentou, mas não conseguiu fugir das investidas de Yoko Ono. Casaram-se em 20 de março de 1969 e tiveram um filho Sean Lennon, que hoje segue os passos de seu pai.
 Yoko Ono não só entrou na vida de John, como também passou a ser presença constante nas seções feitas na Abbey Road, chegando a causar algumas brigas entre os Beatles
A paixão foi tão grande que em 22 de abril de 1969,  John acrescentou o “Ono” da esposa ao seu nome, em uma cerimônia no telhado a Apple, passando a se chamar John Winston Ono Lennon. Apesar disso, todos os documentos oficiais continuavam apenas com o nome de John Winston Lennon.

Como foi a Morte de Lennon

Por volta de 23 horas de 8 de dezembro de 1980, o músico retornava, com sua esposa Yoko Ono, de um estúdio de gravação. Quando Lennon dava entrada em sua residência, o Edifício Dakota em Nova Iorque, um homem de 25 anos chamado Mark Chapman, que no fim da tarde do mesmo dia havia se encontrado com Lennon junto a fãs e conseguido um autógrafo de Lennon em uma capa do álbum do cantor chamado Double Fantasy, sacou um revólver e efetuou cinco disparos contra Lennon. Várias fontes afirmam que, antes de efetuar os disparos, Chapman gritou: Mister Lennon! (S.r. Lennon!), mas Chapman afirma não se lembrar de tê-lo feito. O primeiro tiro se perdeu atingindo uma janela do prédio, porém os quatro seguintes atingiram em cheio o corpo de Lennon, três deles atravessando o corpo e um deles destruindo a artéria aorta de Jonh, causando severa perda de sangue, e ele caiu na recepção do hotel. O porteiro do edifício desarmou Chapman e chutou a arma para longe, e perguntou a ele: "Você sabe o que fez?". Mark Chapman respondeu calmamente: "Sim, eu atirei em John Lennon." Chapman não tentou escapar e sentou-se na calçada e esperou a chegada da polícia.

Lennon foi declarado morto ao chegar no hospital St. Luke's-Roosevelt, onde foi constatado que ninguém poderia viver mais do que alguns minutos com tais ferimentos. Antes de declararem sua morte, médicos abriram o peito de Lennon e massagearam manualmente seu coração por vários minutos a fim de restaurar a circulação sanguínea, mas o dano causado aos vasos sanguíneos era muito grande. Além disso, Lennon já havia chegado sem pulsação e sem respirar, e também havia perdido 80% do seu volume sanguíneo, sendo assim declarado que a causa da morte dele foi choque hipovolêmico. Após o crime ser noticiado pela mídia, multidões de fãs se juntaram ao redor do Hospital Roosevelt e do Edifício Dakota para prestar homenagem ao cantor. O corpo de lennon foi cremado dois dias depois e sua cinzas foram entregues a Yoko , que preferiu não realizar um funeral para o ilustre Jhon Lennon
